    An open-source, collaborative, WYSIWYG Markdown editor2023 · editor.vrite.io · ▲460

Inspired by the design and UI/UX of apps like Notion, and utility of open-source apps like StackEdit, I decided to create a minimalistic, local-only WYSIWYG Markdown editor. Some features worth highlighting: - Monaco editor and Prettier integration for code snippets - Tables (apparently the holy grail of WYSIWYG editing) - Embeds (for CodePen, CodeSandbox and YouTube, most useful for HTML or JSON exports) - Accepts Markdown paste-in, and "exports"/generates HTML, Markdown and JSON outputs - Collaboration (with real-time awareness and initial commenting system, available only when…

    MkSlides – Markdown to slides with a similar workflow to MkDocsNov 2025 · github.com · ▲78

As a teacher, we keep our slides as markdown files in git repos and want to build these automatically so they can be viewed online (or offline if needed). To achieve this, I have created MkSlides. This tool converts all markdown in a folder to slides generated with Reveal.js. The workflow is very similar to MkDocs. Install: `pip install mkslides` Building slides: `mkslides build` Live preview during editing: `mkslides serve` Comparison with other tools like marp, slidev, ...: - This tool is a single command and easy to integrate in CI/CD pipelines. - It only needs Python. - The workflow…

Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!
