Kidfile

Organize. Share. Care. One place. One Link. Done

Kidfile launched on May 21, 2026 with 3 votes, #3,737 of 21,461 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches.

What it does

Kidfile was built by my wife and me as parents of four kids. She steered much of the product direction because this was a real pain point in our home: allergies, routines, emergency contacts, school details, sizes, and caregiver notes were scattered everywhere. We couldn’t find a simple solution, so we built one secure care card parents can update and share.

Organize your child’s allergies, medications, routines, emergency contacts and documents, then securely share what caregivers need with Kidfile.

Allergies, medicine doses, shoe sizes, routines, and more — all in one place. Share it with grandparents, babysitters, caregivers, or anyone helping care for your child. In the blink of an eye, they're all grown up. Kidfile remembers those key moments, so you don't have to worry about missing a thing. Keep your child's important info ready when you need it and easy to share with anyone you choose. Name, age, and the stuff that matters, such as allergies, meds, emergency contacts, pediatrician. Fill in what you know. Finish the rest later. Your kid’s info in one place. Easy to find and easy to share. Share a secure Kidfile link by text, email, or QR code. Keep up with health conditions,…from kidfileapp.com

  • Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
