What it does
Kimi K2.5 is Kimi's most intelligent model to date, achieving open-source SoTA performance in Agent, code, visual understanding, and a range of general intelligent tasks. It is also Kimi's most versatile model to date, featuring a native multimodal architecture that supports both visual and text input, thinking and non-thinking modes, and dialogue and Agent tasks.
Kimi K2.5 defines Visual Agentic Intelligence. Trained on 15T tokens, it introduces SOTA visual coding and autonomous agent swarm. Read the full tech blog.
Today, we are introducing Kimi K2.5, the most powerful open-source model to date. Kimi K2.5 builds on Kimi K2 with continued pretraining over approximately 15T mixed visual and text tokens. Built as a native multimodal model, K2.5 delivers state-of-the-art coding and vision capabilities and a self-directed agent swarm paradigm. For complex tasks, Kimi K2.5 can self-direct an agent swarm with up to 100 sub-agents, executing parallel workflows across up to 1,500 tool calls . Compared with a single-agent setup, this reduces execution time by up to 4.5x . The agent swarm is automatically created and orchestrated by Kimi K2.5 without any predefined subagents or workflow. Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
