Konsol - Professional Network Tool
SSH, serial console, 23 network tools in one app for IT pros

What it does
Most mobile SSH apps are just SSH. Konsol is what a network engineer actually carries — SSH plus serial over Airconsole, SFTP, jump hosts, per-vendor command autocomplete, config backup with diff, and 23 network utilities that usually mean installing many separate apps. Built by an engineer who got tired of juggling tools on site visits.

So I just recently found this app. I’ve been in wireless networking and all in the Apple ecosystem for years. This application is bringing the best to ssh and console connectivity for network engineers. Where to start, first off iOS iPadOS support of the USB-C to Serial Redpark cable has been largely ignored by many apps on the MAS. They support ssh but not console connectivity. This one does both amazingly. I’ve tested on iPhone, iPad, and Mac and its working great. Second is the support for iCloud sycning, another ignored segment but Konsol is doing a great job with this support. This is one of the problems I have with Terminus, they force you to use their cloud solution which makes me…from apps.apple.com

Run globally distributed full-stack apps on high-performance MicroVMs2023 · koyeb.com · ▲98Hi HN! We’re Yann, Edouard, and Bastien from Koyeb (https://www.koyeb.com/). We’re building a platform to let you deploy full-stack apps on high-performance hardware around the world, with zero configuration. We provide a “global serverless feeling”, without the hassle of re-writing all your apps or managing k8s complexity [1]. We built Scaleway, a cloud service provider where we designed ARM servers and provided them as cloud servers. During our time there, we saw customers struggle with the same issues while trying to deploy full-stack applications and APIs resiliently. As…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
