Kordra Studio
Write the song. Keep the whole process together
What it does
Kordra Studio is a native, local-first songwriting workspace for macOS, built for writers who want to stay close to the song. Capture ideas, write lyrics and chords, manage versions, keep notes and prepare clean handoffs, all in one focused writing room. No generative AI. No cloud dependency. Your songs stay on your Mac. Built for songwriting, not content generation. Now available on the Mac App Store.
A native, local-first macOS songwriting workspace for lyrics, chords, voice memos, versions, credits and export. No generative AI and no account required.
A native macOS writing room for lyrics, chords, takes, versions, notes and handoff. Local-first, offline and built around the songwriter. No account required. No generative AI in the writing process. The song stays yours. The lyric is in Notes. The second verse is in a message thread. The voice memo is on your phone. The latest rewrite is buried in a file called FINAL-v4. Studio gives the working parts of a song one persistent place to live without turning songwriting into project management. The tool stays quiet until the work asks for structure. The manuscript, takes, versions, credits and handoff are part of one local project. Nothing important has to live in a second app. Studio follows…from kordra.io

I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
