Kryd — The AI Platform for IT Talent

The Trusted AI career ecosystem for IT professionals.

What it does

Kryd is an AI-powered career and hiring ecosystem built specifically for IT professionals. Unlike generic job boards and freelance platforms, Kryd combines verified profiles, skills assessments, portfolios, learning, networking, AI-powered job matching, and hiring in one place. IT professionals build trusted careers through evidence-backed skills, while recruiters discover and hire verified talent faster and with greater confidence.

Build a career record around the experience you've actually accumulated. Verified experience, matched to relevant roles.

You've fixed networks, migrated systems, kept infrastructure running at 3am, but a CV only gives you a few lines to describe that work. Kryd gives you a career record built around the experience you've actually accumulated. Most IT work happens inside the systems and companies where you do it. When you move on, what follows you is usually a CV: a few job titles, dates and self-reported skills. Your experience, skills, certifications and projects become individual claims. Each can be checked through a named verification method, or clearly marked self-reported. Kryd uses the information in your career record to understand your experience, match you with relevant opportunities, and help you…from krydapp.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
