In plain words
Kubetap is a kubectl plugin that deploys intercepting proxies to Kubernetes services. It enables developers to inspect and modify traffic flowing through their K8s services without changing application code. The tool integrates directly with kubectl, making it accessible for teams already working with Kubernetes. It's designed for developers and DevOps engineers who need visibility into service communication and traffic debugging within their clusters.

Kubetap is a open source CNI-agnostic project by that automates the process of proxying Kubernetes Services. When assessing web applications, it is common to use BurpSuite, MITMproxy, Zap, or other intercepting proxy to capture and modify HTTP requests on a security tester’s machine. These requests are intercepted and modified on the tester’s local machine prior to being sent to the remote server. While this paradigm allowed testers to capture and modify all traffic that the testers themselves create, testers can not see traffic destined for the target server that originates from other Services. The lack of visibility of intranet traffic that does not originate from a tester’s machine can…from soluble-ai.github.io

Kubetail – Real-time log search for Kubernetes2025 · github.com · ▲126Hi Everyone! Kubetail is a general-purpose logging dashboard for Kubernetes, optimized for tailing logs across multi-container workloads in real-time. With Kubetail, you can view logs from all the containers in a workload (e.g. Deployment or DaemonSet) merged into a single chronological timeline, delivered to your browser or terminal. I launched Kubetail on HN last year and at that time the top request was to add search. Now I'm happy to say we finally have search available in our latest official release (cli/v0.4.3, helm/v0.10.1). You can check it out in action here:…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
