Kyso – an easy way to share Jupyter notebooks

Hi HN, We're the founders of https://kyso.io We want to make it really easy to share data-science within teams, and we've started with Jupyter notebooks. We render the notebooks really nicely, so you can embed interactive visualisations like Bokeh, and Plotly plots. Another nice thing is we allow you to hide the code for non-technical readers, so you basically get a beautiful data blog. Look at https://kyso.io/laura/ for some examples. We really want to hear your feedback, let us know what you think!

Kyso – Publish Your Jupyter Notebooks as Blog Posts2018 · ▲22

Hi HN - the founders of kyso here. Kyso (https://kyso.io) is a blogging platform for data science. We render your jupyter notebooks, including all code, interactive visualisations and rich markdown, as awesome data blogs. Upload existing notebooks, import your repos from Github and start brand new Jupyterlab environments in the cloud, all for free. And then publish and share your blogs with the community! Have a look here for a few example posts on our platform: https://kyso.io/jamesle/fifa18…

    Kyso – blog your data-science2019 · ▲8

Hi HN, We're the founders of Kyso (https://kyso.io), we want to make it really easy for data-scientists to be able to blog and share their work. Think of it like medium for data-science. For readers you can discover and nerd out on data stories. For data-scientist you can make a portfolio of charts, Jupyter notebooks and R notebooks. We support javascript plots - Bokeh and Plotly work, and you can integrate with Github. For teams, we offer a private area, which works similar to Airbnb's knowledge-repo, where the data-scientists in a company can post their analysis for the entire…

    WASM-powered codespaces for Python notebooks on GitHub2025 · docs.marimo.io · ▲204

Hi HN! Last year, we shared marimo [1], an open-source reactive notebook for Python with support for execution through WebAssembly [2]. We wanted to share something new: you can now run marimo and Jupyter notebooks directly from GitHub in a Wasm-powered, codespace-like environment. What makes this powerful is that we mount the GitHub repository's contents as a filesystem in the notebook, making it really easy to share notebooks with data. All you need to do is prepend 'marimo.app' to any Python notebook on GitHub. Some examples: - Jupyter Notebook:…

    Adding Mistral Codestral and GPT-4o to Jupyter Notebooks2024 · github.com · ▲269

Hey HN! We’ve forked Jupyter Lab and added AI code generation features that feel native and have all the context about your notebook. You can see a demo video (2 min) here: https://www.tella.tv/video/clxt7ei4v00rr09i5gt1laop6/view Try a hosted version here: https://pretzelai.app Jupyter is by far the most used Data Science tool. Despite its popularity, it still lacks good code-generation extensions. The flagship AI extension jupyter-ai lags far behind in features and UX compared to modern AI code generation and understanding tools (like…

    A modern Jupyter client for macOS2024 · satyrn.app · ▲611

I love Jupyter – it's how I learned to code back when I was working as a scientist. But I was always frustrated that there wasn't a simple and elegant app that I could use with my Mac. I made do by wrapping JupyterLab in a chrome app, and then more recently switching to VS Code to make use of Copilot. I've always craved a more focused and lighter-weight experience when working in a notebook. That's why I created Satyrn. It starts up really fast (faster time-to-execution than VS Code or JupyterLab), you can launch notebooks right from the Finder, and the design is super minimalist. It's got…
