In plain words
Helsinki Foundation is a non-profit organization that enables people to directly participate in land conservation by purchasing their own greenspaces. The organization crowdfunds the acquisition of natural areas to protect them permanently. Currently raising funds to purchase Jänissaari, an island in Finland notable for its biodiversity and historical significance, the foundation operates as a grassroots movement addressing global deforestation. It targets individuals who care about environmental preservation and want hands-on involvement in conservation efforts.

Collectively we need to work harder to preserve our forest, not ruin it. Land conservation through the Helsinki Foundation's grassroots movement is a good place to start and I'm happy to be a small part of this united effort.
