LaunchOn.it
The pay-to-rank leaderboard with weekly resets
What it does
Tired of algorithm fatigue and endless upvote loops? launchon.it is a transparent, pay-to-rank attention market built for modern builders. Unlike single-list boards that price small projects out forever, launchon.it splits the game: - Permanent All-Time spots for ultimate brand flex. - Weekly boards resetting every Monday so a reachable #1 spot is always open. Complete click transparency, see real-time traffic and data metrics instantly.
Submit your startup and bid for the top spot on Launch On It's leaderboard. All-Time ranks stay forever, and This Week resets every Sunday for a new #1.
Submit your listing and bid for the top spot before anyone else does. launchon.it is a pay-to-rank leaderboard, and it works exactly like that sounds. Bid once and your listing stays on the All-Time board permanently: nothing decays, nothing gets buried under next week's launches, and no algorithm decides you're old news. Can't buy the top spot yet? This Week resets every Sunday at 23:59 UTC, so there's always a #1 that's actually reachable. Every rank, price, and listing's traffic is public, so nobody has to take our word for any of it. Read the rules to see exactly how it works. Ranked by total spend, forever. Nothing here decays or gets removed. Ranked by spend since Monday. Resets every…from launchon.it

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
