Let's Metta

An anonymous "I thought of you today" button

What it does

Let's Metta is an anonymous "I thought of you today" button. You think of people more often than you ever say — a song, a memory, a passing thought. Most apps turn that into an obligation: a message to write, a reply to wait for. Let's Metta removes all of it. One tap. The recipient sees a number — never who, never how. Built on the Pali idea of metta: wishing someone well without expecting anything back. No feed, no replies, no ads, no tracking. Just a silent hug.

My husband quit his job to build a new social audio app with Flutter2023 · bubblic.app · ▲58

Wife of an app-builder here. My husband quit his full time job at Apple to work full-time last year on a new social audio app where you are anonymous and there are no videos or images - people can only connect with their voice. The app has been up for just less than 2 months, and it was incredible to see 300 users from all around the world leave voice messages of support for each other. It definitely restored my faith in humanity, so much so that I decided to jump on board as a co-founder :) We are on a mission to end loneliness that is gripping our world today, and we hope you also come…

I was tired of people dmming me just "hi", so I made this - NoGreetingOct 2025 · nogreeting.kuber.studio · ▲24

most people on social media don't know how to text they think starting with a greeting and waiting for a response is kind because that's telephone etiquette, but don't understand that doing that over text is like someone calling you, saying "hello," then putting YOU on hold. literally making the other person do extra work to find out what you want. so I made this website Instead of spending time explaining them this concept (and maybe coming off as very rude), I just keep this in my bio or send them this link when they do. Pick your name. Pick the greeting trigger. Get a link. (optionally…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
