We built an AI to review your pull requests2025 · infinitcode.ai · ▲53Hey HN, We’re two developers (co-founders) with a team of 20 who got tired of spending hours reviewing PRs, so we built Infinitcode.ai, an AI-powered code reviewer that: - *Summarizes PRs in plain English*: No more deciphering 1,000-line diff jungles - *Catches more than bugs*: Security holes, performance pitfalls, code smells, even typos (yes, we’ll flag “vurnerabilities” and vulnerabilities) - *Zero onboarding*: Works instantly—no “let me learn your codebase for weeks” nonsense. Why we’re posting: We’re in alpha and need brutal honesty. Roast our tool, mock our UI, or tell us why AI will…
Scout QA - AI Quality Companion2025 · scoutqa.ai · ▲13We’ve been working on Scout QA, a tool that uses AI to catch subtle bugs that usually slip past manual testing and reviews. Instead of focusing on test automation, Scout analyzes your app’s UI, flows, and logs to surface tiny inconsistencies — things like broken states, unclear error messages, or small regressions that humans might ignore because “it still works.” The goal isn’t to replace testers but to act like an extra pair of curious eyes — pointing out issues that affect real users’ experience. We’re exploring questions like: - How can an AI develop an intuition for “something feels…

Vibecheck – lint for AI-generated code smells (JS/TS/Python)Mar 2026 · github.com · ▲7I built a CLI that detects patterns AI coding tools leave behind: empty catch blocks, hardcoded secrets, as any everywhere, comments that restate the code, god functions, SQL concatenation. 24 rules across JS/TS and Python. Zero config, runs offline, regex-based so it's fast. npx @yuvrajangadsingh/vibecheck . Also ships as a GitHub Action for inline PR annotations and standalone binaries (no Node required). Why: CodeRabbit found AI-generated PRs have 1.7x more issues than human PRs. Veracode says 45% of AI code samples have security vulnerabilities. "Vibe coding" is everywhere now…
Vibe CheckMar 2026 · vibecheck.appvelocity.io · ▲17Vibe check shares benchmarking insights on any vibe coded URLs like: Make, Lovable, Claude code, V0, etc. Provide a link and we'll share your 'time-to-value'. Provide a URL, set a challenge("Find pricing and subscribe") then AI navigates in real-time to report on UX insights: Interactions, time-on-task, drop-off, etc. What's cool about this is that it gives you some quantitive data to act upon in improving the UX of product journeys. Example of sim playback: https://app.appvelocity.io/vibe/simulation/8321db67-883b-445... Example report:…

Talanoa▲343Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history. This globe is probably my favourite so far: https://jameshard.ing/pilot/globes/all If you’ve got ideas for other graphs or ways to show this kind of data, I’d love to hear them!

I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned. Over the next 9 months, I sent 15 emails to try to save it : no replies. Feature requests & issues were ignored. The community was left with a "broken" tool let's say. I couldn't just let it die So I built the new version from scratch with the same open-source spirit, but a better…
