What it does

Press ⌘⇧2, drag over any text on screen and it lands on your clipboard. On-device OCR for videos, PDFs, screenshots and screen shares. One-time $5.99.

Letra lives in your menu bar. Press ⌘⇧2 , drag over anything on screen — a video, a PDF, a Zoom share, a screenshot — and the text is already in your clipboard. Calls, scans, screenshots, video, QR codes, stickers and neat handwriting. If you can see it, Letra can copy it. Someone shares a link on a call and never drops it in the chat. Grab it off their screen and open it yourself. A scanned contract won’t let you select a single word. Letra reads the clause anyway and drops it into your notes. A teammate posts a screenshot of an error. Copy the stack trace out of the image and search for it in seconds. Pause a video course, drag over the code, and paste it straight into your editor. Hold a key to translate any word on your Mac

I caught myself copy-pasting into ChatGPT like 50 times a day. Too lazy for that, so I built a shortcut. Select text anywhere on Mac, press a hotkey — text gets rewritten / translated / summarized / whatever, right where you are. No tabs, no copy-paste dance. Native Swift app, hooks into macOS accessibility APIs. Bring your own API key and calls go straight to OpenAI / Anthropic. Or just use the free tier — 20 requests/day, no signup. https://aihotkeys.tech Curious for the feedback
