Lexie

Built this because kids 10-15 can't prompt AI effectively. They'd type "make quiz plz" and get confused when ChatGPT asks for context. Lexie takes 46 steps of AI prompting, context explanation, and output formatting and makes it one step: point camera, get quiz. The photo constraint isn't just better UX, it's the only way to get usable output from that age group. This demographic gets the worst deal in edtech. Too advanced for baby apps, too young for adult tools. They get gamification theater instead of real learning tools. I stripped all that out. Photo your geology notes, get instant…

What it does

Snap a photo of your notes. Lexie reads them and builds a practice set from them. Not just flashcards from your highlights, but actual questions an exam would ask. Multiple choice, fill in the blank, open ended questions where AI evaluates your answer and tells you what you missed. Then spaced repetition schedules when to review it all. The exam before the exam, generated from your own material. Works with any subject, even language learning. No account, no ads, photos stay on your device.

Snap a photo of your notes and Lexie creates flashcards, quizzes, and practice tests instantly. Study smarter with spaced repetition and AI-powered review. No account needed, no ads. Free to try.

This is a real study session, made from one photo of biology notes. Poke around. This is a real study session, made from one photo of biology notes. Lexie finds out what you need to learn, and then makes you practise. Memorize, test, think, listen, read. Your work turns into five ways to learn it. All you have to do is take a photo or upload your work and Lexie will do its magic. Lexie helps you spend more time on challenging material, and less on what you already know. Open-ended essay questions from your material with real time evaluation and grade. Lexie tells you when you got it wrong, which is the best way to learn anything. Hey HN! I’m excited to show you my app that lets you learn any topic in a structured, bite-sized way. Each lesson has an audio version, some visuals, and interactive quizzes. They’re personalized to your background and goals, and you can pick a concept inside a lesson and ask it to go deeper. When my co-founder was at NotebookLM, he realized the biggest bottlenecks in learning are that people don’t have time or feel like they’re not smart enough. We wanted to see if software can take the mental load of figuring out what resources to use and what order to learn them in, and make lessons easy…

    I'm a teacher and built an AI presentation tool2025 · ▲260

Hi, I'm a high school teacher from Australia and I've built what I'd like to think is a pretty nifty ChatGPT powered presentation tool for teachers. I'd love it if you could have a look at it and give me some of your feedback. I don't think there's much overlap with the HN crowd and school teachers, but I've been coming here for many years and thought I'd post here and see what you all think. Check it out if you have a minute and I'd be super happy to hear your feedback too. https://www.slidehero.ai/ You can jump in and have a play with the tool all you like ;) Cheers, Eli

    I cloned a YC funded app in a day as an MVP2025 · ai-tutor.mvpwrappers.com · ▲28

I saw this app youlearn.ai on YC and thought of building it. They are claiming to have 1M+ users with just one feature which is to convert your learning material into summaries, quizzes etc. I gave this a shot and cloned almost most of the features in just 9+ hours of continous vibe coding (with 20% manual though). Now I'm selling this on mvp marketplace. Might probably open source it in future or give it free.

  • I built a "Socratic" AI to stop my daughter from copy-pasting homeworkFeb 2026 · thinkqurio.com · ▲35

Hey HN, I’m a dev and a dad to a 10-year-old. I built this because I caught my daughter using ChatGPT to do her history homework. She wasn't learning; she was just acting as a "middleware" between the AI and the paper. The Backstory: I realized the problem isn't the AI—it's the zero-friction answers. Most "AI for kids" apps are just "parrots"—they mimic intelligence by repeating patterns. What’s Different: Qurio is a "Bicycle" for the mind. It treats the child like a future "Architect" rather than a "Junior Executor." Technically, it wraps an LLM in a strict "Socratic Loop." It detects…

  • With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them.
