What it does
LFM2-Audio defines a new class of audio foundation models: lightweight, multimodal, and real-time. By unifying audio understanding and generation in one compact system, it enables conversational AI on devices where speed, privacy, and efficiency matter most.
LFM2-Audio defines a new class of audio foundation models: lightweight, multimodal, and real-time. By unifying audio understanding and generation in one compact system, it enables conversational AI on devices where speed, privacy, and efficiency matter most. With LFM2-Audio, we’re taking another step toward multimodal agents that run privately and in real time on your own devices.
Today, we release LFM2-Audio-1.5B, an end-to-end foundation model for audio and text generation. Designed for low latency, it enables responsive, high-quality conversations with only 1.5 billion parameters. This model extends the LFM2 family into the audio-text space. LFM2-Audio can seamlessly switch between audio and text inputs and outputs. This offers a dynamic, practical backbone for diverse applications such as real-time chatbots, automatic speech recognition (ASR), or text-to-speech (TTS), all in a single multimodal foundation model. Our lightweight architecture enables seamless deployment across device environments and efficient inference. LFM2-Audio-1.5B extends the LFM2-1.2B…from liquid.ai

Conversational AI 2.0 From ElevenLabs2025 · elevenlabs.io · ▲652Luke from ElevenLabs here. We just released Scribe Realtime v2, our new real-time Speech to Text model. We rebuilt it from the ground up around a new architecture that uses predictive transcription – it anticipates the next likely word before it’s spoken. That makes it both fast (around 150 ms latency) and highly accurate. Scribe v2 Realtime outperforms every low latency transcription model across 30 commonly used EU and Asian languages – 93.5% accuracy, compared to Gemini 2.5 Flash (91.4%), GPT-4o MiniTranscribe (90.7%), and Deepgram Nova 3 (85%). It supports 90+ languages including…
Conversational Replicas by Tavus2024 · tavus.io · ▲694Hey there, I’m Brian. I've been shipping conversational models over here at Tavus for the past two years. I want to tell you about our new audio-understanding model: Sparrow-2! It’s a new category of model and a unique new approach to conversational audio. Earlier this year we launched Sparrow-1, (at the time) our SoTA turn taking model. Since our Sparrow-1 launch, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to humans talking and trying to really understand how people know when to talk, when to listen, and when to wait. I’ve also been hunting down failure modes of the current SoTA models. And while…

I went down the rabbit hole on a side project and ended up building this: Strange Attractors(https://blog.shashanktomar.com/posts/strange-attractors). It’s built with three.js. Working on it reminded me of the little "maths for fun" exercises I used to do while learning programming in early days. Just trying things out, getting fascinated and geeky, and being surprised by the results. I spent way too much time on this, but it was extreme fun. My favorite part: someone pointed me to the Simone Attractor on Threads. It is a 2D attractor and I asked GPT to extrapolate it to…

Autism Simulator▲779Hey all, I built this. It’s not trying to capture every autistic experience (that’d be impossible). It’s based on my own lived experience as well as that of friends on the spectrum. I'm trying to give people a feel for what masking, decision fatigue, and burnout can look like day-to-day. That’s hard to explain in words, but easier to show through choices and stats. I'm not trying to "define autism". I’ve gotten good feedback here about resilience, meds, and difficulty tuning. I’ll keep tweaking it. If even a few people walk away thinking, "ah, maybe that’s why my coworker struggles in those…
