What it does
Add a description to your directories! Contribute to aeilot/lsnotes development by creating an account on GitHub.
lsnotes lets you attach and display notes for directories. Just drop a .lsnotes file in any folder and voilà—your directory has a description. Now remade with: It was originally just an April Fools joke that I told @MrWillCom , but it turned out to be a brilliant idea. So I made this project. pip install lsnotes Usage lsnotes view # does the same as above lsnotes --help # for assistance lsnotes edit # edits the .lsnotes file with your default editor lsnotes config # for configuration Examples alias ls = " lsnotes view && ls " alias pwd = " lsnotes view && pwd " # etc. Other Ports We welcome you to implement the .lsnotes standard using various languages or on diversefrom github.com

Hello, Motivated by this discussion https://goo.gl/te4BFv, I have created a simple (free and open-source) command line note organizer. The tool, called npmnotes, take a folder with notes (written in markdown/texdown) and creates a webpage that lets you search and browse through the notes. You can then publish this webpage or use it locally. The result (built with npmnotes) looks something like this https://npmnotes.org. Currently, this is just a (working) prototype and I plan to add more features soon (based on the feedback I get). What do you think of it?
PlannotatorApr 2026 · github.com · ▲97I started this in January as a hook for Claude Code's plan mode: when it finished planning, instead of approving a wall of text in the terminal, the plan opens in your browser and you could mark it up like a document. Your annotations go back into the agent session. It grew from there. There's now PR-style code review (git, jj, p4, GitHub/GitLab PRs) and annotation for markdown, URLs, and folders. Agents produce a lot of HTML now, so Plannotator renders those artifacts and lets you annotate them too. Nine harnesses are supported: Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Gemini, OpenCode, Kiro,…

notesbash – A notes management TUI written in bash2024 · codeberg.org · ▲23Hello everybody! We (lukeflo and me) have made a little notes management tui written in bash based on fff by Dylan Araps, which we've improved a lot to make it a notes management tui. It uses your editor of choice to edit and create notes, you can fuzzy search your notes and search them by tags you give them by writing them in the markdown yaml or emacs org header. All in all it turned out to be a surprisingly good project that we now want to refine after just releasing v1.0, so any feedback, suggestions or criticism is very welcome!

Notational `ls` - Never get lost in code again (hour long hack)2011 · github.com · ▲29Hey folks, I just wanted to share a quick script I threw together called notational ls. One of the big problems of any code base (or any filesystem) is that it's hard to tell what's what - folder and file names often trade brevity for clarity. So I thought about a version of `ls` that works like this: > nls web: Where python web server files are stored ad_hoc: One time scripts ios: Our IOS code images Adding descriptions is really easy too: > nls images Images SHARED between both ios and web web: Where python web server files are stored ad_hoc: One time scripts ios: Our IOS code…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I built the world's most impractical 1000-pixel display and anyone in the world can draw on it. It draws a single pixel at a time and takes 30-60 minutes to complete a single image. Anyone can participate in the project by voting for the next image to be drawn, and submitting images. https://kilopx.com/

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…

I was wondering how I can arrange objects along a spherical helix path, and read some articles on it. I ended up learning about parametric equations again, and make this visualization to document what I learned: https://visualrambling.space/moving-objects-in-3d/ feel free to visit and let me know what you think!

For HTML Day 2025 [1], I made a web service that displays the current sky at your approximate location as a CSS gradient. Colours are simulated on-demand using atmospheric absorption and scattering coefficients. Updates every minute, without the use of client-side JavaScript.
