In plain words
Luculent is a monospaced geometric sans-serif font family designed for programmers and terminal use. It includes regular, italic, bold, and bold-italic styles as scalable vector fonts suitable for extended screen time. From the sources
Luculent is a family of scalable (vector), monospaced, geometric sans-serif screen fonts designed for programmers. I began developing it in October 2008 after trying out as many of the available programming typefaces as I could find at the time. I wanted a pleasant looking typeface that could stand up to many hours a day of scrutiny. Though many good ones exist, none of them quite satisfied me or had every feature that I wanted. I decided to try making my own and the result was Luculent. A complete family of matching regular, italic, bold, and bold-italic styles is included for use in syntax highlighting. The bolds have increased stroke contrast and are designed to be heavy enough to make…from eastfarthing.com

MonoLisa2020 · monolisa.dev · ▲197Originally we (Andrey, Marcus, Juho) built MonoLisa in 2020 as we realised there's room for a better monospaced typeface for developers. The key insight was to make the glyphs slightly wider to make more room for design to make letters like m feel less cramped. Since then we've released a variable v2 (2022) and now we're happy to expand the typeface with a new family called MonoLisa Text. The reasoning was to cover *other* use cases beyond coding with this proportional font. We hope you give Monolisa a go as there's a free trial to try. We also welcome feedback!

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
