Luhnly

Fake credit card numbers that actually pass validation

What it does

Luhnly generates fake credit card numbers that pass the Luhn checksum — the same formula real issuers use — for Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover. Built for developers and QA engineers testing checkout flows without touching a live gateway. Runs entirely in your browser — no signup, nothing stored. Includes free testing guides for Stripe, PayPal, Square, Braintree, and Authorize.net, since every processor handles test cards differently. Free, no account wall.

Free credit card generator for developers and QA testing. Generate fake, Luhn-valid test credit card numbers for Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover — instantly, no signup, right in your browser.

Luhnly generates fake, Luhn-valid test credit card numbers for Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover — built for developers and QA engineers testing checkout flows. Free, instant, no signup. Every real card number ends in a check digit chosen so the whole number passes a specific arithmetic test. Luhnly generates numbers the same way a card issuer would, minus the part where a bank actually opens an account behind it. Each brand owns a reserved range: Visa numbers start with 4, Mastercard with 51–55 or 2221–2720, Amex with 34 or 37, Discover with 6011 or 65. The digits between the prefix and the final check digit are generated at random, giving each card a unique, non-sequential number.…from luhnly.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
