What it does

LYF SOS is a privacy-first emergency safety app built for Indian network conditions. Send SOS alerts, share live location, and alert emergency contacts — all without internet. No account required. No data collection. Free for everyone.

Decentralized mesh network enabling emergency communication without internet, cellular, or cloud infrastructure. Peer-to-peer. Zero knowledge. Maximum resilience. Built for disasters, remote areas, and authoritarian shutdowns. No central servers. No single point of failure. Just interconnected devices creating resilient communication pathways that function even when the internet has been severed. Broadcast encrypted SOS beacons via Bluetooth Low Energy (100m range) and Wi-Fi Direct (200m range) simultaneously. Devices within proximity automatically detect distress signals without any pre-configuration. Each receiving device automatically forwards the emergency packet with TTL (Time To Live)…from lyfsos.lyfmail.com

  A couple of months ago, I built this app to help identify people stuck under rubble. First responders have awesome tools. But in tough situations, even common folks need to help. After what happened in Myanmar, we need something like this that works properly. It has only been tested in controlled environments. It can also be improved; I know BLE is not _that_ effective under rubble. If you have any feedback or can contribute, don't hold back.
