What it does
Unlike physical card decks, the app handles all the complex logic and tracking, making it effortless for the host to manage the game without mistakes. The premium version allows for much larger groups than usual, with specialized roles that add depth and replayability. It keeps the social, in-person aspect of the game alive while removing the "clutter" of physical cards and manual timers.
Mafia is a social deduction game based on asymmetric information. It is often played in groups of about 4–20 people, and it exists in many variations. To play, you must have a Game Master (GM) who understands the rules and guides the game. The game is divided into two repeating phases: night and day. Players receive different roles through the app, either randomly or chosen in advance by the GM. Each player only knows their own role. Roughly one quarter of the players are mafia (rounded down).
