It provides practical guidance on accessibility requirements across various scenarios, including image alt text, CSS backgrounds, and data charts. The tool explains the differences between WCAG compliance levels and covers both current standards and upcoming WCAG 3.0 changes, making it useful for developers seeking to understand and implement accessibility best practices.

From the sources

Websites that are evaluated against the WCAG guidelines are given a level of A, AA or AAA, but what's the difference? Images are simple, right? Just add alt text? But what do you do about images like data charts, or if there's loads of text. What about CSS backgrounds? Find out exactly what to do in every scenario with this guide. There's a version 3.0 of the WCAG guidelines in the works and it's quite different to 2.0. Read more about the changes and when we might start to be expected to test against it. If you have a Pluralsight subscription, or there's a trial available, I have three highly rated courses on there to explain some beginner to intermediate level concepts. I've spend two months delivering a tool that is easy to understand and helps catching accessibility issues on my apps. A few years later it's pretty popular despite being mostly abandoned. I will be happy to work on this further but honestly lost my enthusiasm some time ago. I'd love to get in touch with some company in the accessibility testing space and discuss how…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
