MaxUsage

The no-brainer way to max out your AI subscriptions

Visit github.comAlternativestop 25% of August 2026

What it does

I pay for 6 AI coding subscriptions — Claude, Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, OpenCode, and Grok. MaxUsage sits in your menu bar and tells you which one to use right now, based on remaining quota and reset time — so nothing goes to waste and nothing runs dry mid-task. 100% local and open source. It reads credentials already on your Mac and only talks to each provider's own API. Free forever.

Pick which AI coding subscription to use right now to maximize quotas | 智能推荐当前最该用哪个 AI 编程订阅,最大化额度,拒绝浪费 - 1c7/max-usage

Intelligently recommends which AI coding subscription (Claude, Codex, Antigravity, OpenCode, Cursor, and more) to use right now to maximize your quotas. I subscribe to 6 different AI coding tools and wanted to maximize usage across all of them. Checking each one's usage page by hand is tedious: MaxUsage shows all remaining quotas and reset times, and tells you which one to use first. Download the latest DMG , open it, and drag MaxUsage into your /Applications folder. brew install 1c7/tap/max-usage "Apple could not verify..." on first launch? The DMG is ad-hoc signed, not notarized, so macOS blocks it by default. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security , scroll to the blocked-app notice,…from github.com

I use Claude Code, Codex and Cursor (and sometimes Antigravity) basically every day, and could never tell how much I was actually consuming across all of them. So I built TokenMaxxer. A small CLI reads the files these tools already write locally and puts it all in one dashboard, broken out by tool, model, provider and day. It covers 18 tools now, and you get a profile page with your daily activity, cost estimates, and your top models and tools. There's also a global leaderboard if you want to compete against other TokenMaxxers! I'd love to see if anyone can beat the first place (currently…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

  • Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
