In plain words

Memex is an open-source browser extension that helps users organize and retrieve web research. It lets users search through every word of previously visited websites using fuzzy memories, time filters, domains, tags, and bookmarks. The tool allows users to add annotations and comments directly to webpages and create precise citations by sharing links to specific text passages.
