Minimalist task management tool with command line functionalities
Hey all, I have been building Minimado (spelled mini-meadow) over the past few days It's got a minimalist theme inspired by Project IDX from Google, a command mode where you would use terminal-navigation and shortcuts to use the tool, and it could also be downloaded as a native app for any platform. Best part? It requires no sign-ups and is completely free. I might add sign-ups and make it optional for account sync purposes. Play with it and let me know what you think. It's got a "Feedback" link in the bottom left where you can upvote upcoming features and suggest new ones you might think…

In plain words
Minimado is a minimalist task management tool with a command-line interface and a clean, Google IDX-inspired design. Users can manage tasks through terminal-style navigation and keyboard shortcuts, with the option to download it as a native app on any platform. It requires no account creation and is free to use, though optional sign-ups for account syncing may be added in the future.

Minimal, no-JS web forum software2022 · github.com · ▲392Hello HN! I've found my SQL knowledge to be lacking, so I made a project that uses SQLite as a backend. As it is intended for self-hosting I aim to make it easy to set up and maintain. Getting it up & running takes no more than a few commands (bar setting up a proxy such as nginx, which is out of scope). I've set up a "demo" site at https://forum.agreper.com/ if you want to try out the UI.
General Task, a free task manager for builders (beta)2022 · generaltask.com · ▲120Hello everyone! I left my job to start General Task a little over a year ago, and have been building a better free task manager with a small team. We aim to be the best place where one can find what’s next in their workday and we integrate with a number of different services to help do that. We’re still in the early stages of a beta, but so far you can: - Create/edit tasks with due dates, priorities, and folders - Drag tasks onto your calendar to block off time to do them (syncs with GCal) - Sync with Linear (JIRA coming soon) to see tasks assigned to you - Sync with Github to see your…
TaskShellApr 2026 · taskshell.app · ▲86I initially built this for myself but some folks asked me to open access to it. Let me explain what I built and why. I'm a product designer who transitioned from only designing to building complete software products myself and I found myself using AI coding agents literally every day. I started with cursor, then codex and claude code, then kilo code, and then moved to opencode. The only thing AI agents couldn't get done for me was to keep track of my todos and tasks for all my projects. I ended up vibe coding a todo app separately or using apps like TickTick. The main issue with separate…

A Minimal Monthly Task Planner (printable, offline, no signup)Dec 2025 · printcalendar.top · ▲94Hi HN, I built a tiny tool because I couldn’t find a clean, distraction-free monthly planner that: 1. shows a clean monthly task view 2. doesn’t require an account 3. doesn’t sync or store anything online 4. works offline 5. is printable 6. and keeps a minimal, distraction-free aesthetic So I made https://printcalendar.top/ — a minimal monthly task planner. It’s intentionally simple. No logins, no integrations, no dashboards. Just a small tool for people who want structure without clutter.

Talanoa▲341Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

- TITetris in a PDF▲1,289
I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

21st.dev▲1,211I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
