What it does
MirrorNotes — AI-powered journaling that runs entirely on your iPhone. Your words never leave your device. MirrorNotes gives you Daily Nudges, mood tracking, and an Ask feature ("when was I least stressed?") — all powered by on-device AI (Gemma 3). Your journal text never leaves your iPhone. Works offline. Truly private. Free to write forever.

Write anything. The AI that reflects it back lives on your iPhone. Not on someone's server. Not in a data center. Not anywhere your words can travel. A focused set of tools built around the one thing that makes journaling work: honesty. All on-device. Unlimited entries. No 30-day limit. No paywall on your own history. Every word you’ve ever written is readable forever. Your data is never the price of admission. Each morning: one question drawn from your own patterns. Not generic. Something it noticed in your writing. Query your own history in natural language. On-device. Instant. Private. Gemma 3 1B runs locally on the Neural Engine. No API calls. No server logs. Hi everyone - I've been working on this automatic journal for a long time. It takes your photos, makes them look nice, and also journals the places you go just by having your phone in your pocket. Would love your feedback!

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
