What it does
Trustworthy memory system for LLM companions. Prevents memory fabrication with provenance tracking, write gates, and grounding audits. - obscuraknight/mistikguard
Mistikguard is a small, dependency-light library that stops an LLM's fabrications from becoming permanent, trusted, defended memory. It is the extracted memory-integrity core of Mistik , a local-first AI companion, generalized for reuse. Most "long-term memory" for LLM apps works like this: the model periodically summarizes the conversation and writes "facts" about the user into a store, which are then injected back into future prompts as established truth. The flaw is that the model's output is treated as ground truth the moment it is written. A hallucinated detail becomes indistinguishable from something the user actually said — recalled with the same confidence, defended with the same…from github.com

Stun LLMs with thousands of invisible Unicode charactersNov 2025 · gibberifier.com · ▲206I made a free tool that stuns LLMs with invisible Unicode characters. *Use cases:* Anti-plagiarism, text obfuscation against LLM scrapers, or just for fun! Even just one word's worth of “gibberified” text is enough to block most LLMs from responding coherently.

Yet another memory system for LLMs2025 · github.com · ▲165Built this for my LLM workflows - needed searchable, persistent memory that wouldn't blow up storage costs. I also wanted to use it locally for my research. It's a content-addressed storage system with block-level deduplication (saves 30-40% on typical codebases). I have integrated the CLI tool into most of my workflows in Zed, Claude Code, and Cursor, and I provide the prompt I'm currently using in the repo. The project is in C++ and the build system is rough around the edges but is tested on macOS and Ubuntu 24.04.

Core – open source memory graph for LLMs – shareable, user owned2025 · github.com · ▲112I keep running in the same problem of each AI app “remembers” me in its own silo. ChatGPT knows my project details, Cursor forgets them, Claude starts from zero… so I end up re-explaining myself dozens of times a day across these apps. The deeper problem 1. Not portable – context is vendor-locked; nothing travels across tools. 2. Not relational – most memory systems store only the latest fact (“sticky notes”) with no history or provenance. 3. Not yours – your AI memory is sensitive first-party data, yet you have no control over where it lives or how it’s queried. Demo video:…

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
