Monkeytype, but for programmers (coding wpm test)

hi! I’m a 17 y/o dev and I made this so I could show my wpm in code rather than just normal text :) this was my first project that I made awhile back but wanted to share it today. I used React and got the LeetCode samples by webscraping a site that had all the solutions. you can read more about the site in the "about" page. here's the repo: https://github.com/max-lee-dev/hackertype https://twitter.com/maxleedev

Does the same job

    Leetcode but for front end devs (terrible idea?)2022 · vacation-call-335691.framer.app · ▲8

Howdy friends! Tell me if this is an atrociously terrible idea - I've been working on building a leetcode for clientside devs so we can practice React and Javascript interview questions in a more concise way, I call it clientside.dev I just finished a beta version of it yesterday and plan on releasing it with many more problems on Jan 1st but it's there if you wanna play with it open to any ideas / feedback however mean or nice it may be :)

    made a html5 game, polished it many many times2011 · hotbazooka.com · ▲211

hi all, I've always wanted to make my own game, but couldn't afford a thousand-dollar adobe (flash+photoshop) license. I'm not a talented programmer, have no degree in CS. But I understand some elements of design. So I got me a copy of ImpactJS, and after about 5 months of steep learning curve (at least for me), I managed to come up with a game. I also integrated it with a highscore and badge system, similar to what you get at Kongregate. You need to login with Google/OpenID to earn badges/scores. link is: http://www.hotbazooka.com/privatejoe hope to hear some feedback/questions from you guys!

    I built a mockup/prototype/wireframe editor in ten weeks2012 · ▲42

Hi HN, After watching a lot of Show HN's here, it's finally my turn to show something. This is the first real project I have shipped, so it is extra special to me. For those who will inevitably ask why I made yet another mockup editor I covered it on our blog (http://blog.mocktailsapp.in/why-build-yet-another-mockup-editor-tm). Not all the features mentioned in that post have been implemented yet. As such Mocktails is pre-beta software and very minimal. It does not even have user accounts or any actual server side component at all for that matter (yet)! Our intention is to build Mocktails…

    Experiment ▴ LLM UI for developers with tool use visualization2025 · github.com · ▲8

Hey HN! I built Experiment to solve a common frustration in LLM development: the lack of proper tools for prompt engineering experimentation. Here's what makes it different: Key Features: - Load and edit chat completion logs from CSV files - Fork and modify specific conversation entries - Run inference via Anthropic, Mistral, and OpenAI - Define custom tools using JSONSchema format - Visual tool usage analysis with collapsible, sorted key-value pairs - Full mobile support and available as installable PWA Technical Highlights: - Built with React using custom isomorphic architecture -…

    I created a Neural Network from scratch, in scratch2024 · bell-boy.github.io · ▲7

I spent the past week implementing a 1 Layer Neural Net and training it on MNIST within the visual scripting language provided by scratch.mit.edu. It was tedious, but ultimately not too difficult. The code runs incredibly slowly, so much so that 64 samples of MNIST takes 5+ hours to train on my machine. There were a lot of little mini challenges that were fun to overcome (implementing softmax was very tricky). If you're interested, I encourage you to try and improve on it! More details in the linked blog post.
