In plain words
Moochacha is a file encryption tool designed to be resistant to quantum computing threats. It was formally analyzed using Frama-C, a verification framework that examines code for security and correctness. The software is intended for users who want to protect their files with encryption methods believed to withstand future quantum attacks. Moochacha launched in February 2023 and is available on Codeberg.

WARNING: This is a personal project, unsafe for real data. Don't use it. Encrypt files using a random keyfile, like enchive without public keys. Plain 256-bit encryption satisfies even the most paranoid quantum computing fears. Each file's encryption key derives from a common keyfile plus a 256-bit random seed. Keep the keyfile secret. Its passphrase discourages only casual snooping, given that passphrases can be discovered by brute-force or hidden camera. Currently uses Argon2id, BLAKE2b, and ChaCha20-Poly1305 from libsodium . Copyright 2022-2023 Mark Dascher Licensed under the ISC License . Argon2id makes two passes of 1 GiB by default. The memory limit is adjustable between 1 MiB and 512…from codeberg.org

HAMTs are a cool persistent data structure and implementing one has been a lot of fun. Beyond the code, there is likely some value in the extensive and largely complete implementation docs; basic benchmarks are linked in the README, too. Kind of aiming to be "the libavl for HAMTs". That is obviously a high and aspirational bar but a distinct possibility if it stirs up a little interest and/or contribution. Anyways, it's time for this to go out, collect feedback and maybe even some use outside of toy projects. Let me…
