What it does
MyPlate is an iPhone calorie counter that reads your meal from a photo. Point the camera at your plate or describe what you ate, and it returns calories, protein, carbs and fat. It sets your daily target from your height, weight, age, activity and goal using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, and every number behind that is cited at myplate.site/sources. There is no account. Your food log is stored on your phone rather than on my server, so there is nothing to sign up for.
MyPlate is the smart AI calorie counter that lets you scan food, track macros, manage weight, and reach your nutrition goals. Free to download on iPhone.
MyPlate uses artificial intelligence to instantly identify food from photos, calculate calories and macros, and help you reach your weight goals — all in one beautifully simple app. From AI food scanning to personalized diet plans — MyPlate has all the tools to make healthy eating effortless. Snap a photo of any meal and get an instant nutrition estimate — calories, protein, carbs and fats. Works with home-cooked meals, restaurant dishes and everyday snacks. Or just describe the dish in words and let the AI do the rest. Monitor your daily protein, carbohydrates, and fat intake with beautiful visual charts. Know exactly what you're eating and stay on track with your nutrition targets. Get a…from myplate.site

Hi guys, I created this app to solve one of my own problems: I found calorie tracking to be a real pain. Now, instead of scanning barcodes, scrolling through lists, or taking photos of food, I just speak into my phone (or computer), tell Calorio what I’ve eaten, and it handles the rest. It uses OpenAI’s APIs to process audio and map foods to calories. It’s free to use without an account, but if you want it to tally daily calories and remember everything you’ve eaten, you’ll need to sign up with your Google account and subscribe (you get 7 days for free). I would really appreciate any…

Clipto MCP▲655Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
