N-recipe is a offline recipe book for android, which let's you save your own recipes, and share them with friends & family, or the world on the web-hub. Quickly find the right recipe with filters for category, cooking time and custom tags. For cooking the app offers to calculate how much of your ingredients you'll need for more or fewer servings. Besides dark/light mode, n-recipe features three different themes: "Material You", "Catppuccin" with all accent colors, as well as a "Nothing" style.

Hi HN! Me and my gf both love cooking, but for some reason cooking together always becomes a frustrating mess for both of us. When talking with friends about this, we discovered that many share this experience. What seems like a romantic date night opportunity always results in a more challenging dynamic than we'd all like. So we decided to build an app that turns any recipe we upload into 2-player mode. For us the app massively improves the cooking together experience by removing coordination friction. It basically allows each individual to focus on their own tasks: one cuts the onions, the…

Hi HN, Happy to share the project I've been vibe-coding on for past few months. The Problem: Like many people, I often found myself staring at a fridge full of random ingredients (some about to expire) with no idea what to cook. I was tired of food waste and the repetitive cycle of making the same few meals. I wanted a way to creatively use what I already had. The Solution: So, I decided to build Chefiniti. It's an iOS app that acts as a personal AI chef. The core idea is to turn your available food into delicious, custom recipes. I know there are already tons of apps like it but this one is…

  • I went down the rabbit hole on a side project and ended up building this: Strange Attractors(https://blog.shashanktomar.com/posts/strange-attractors). It’s built with three.js. Working on it reminded me of the little "maths for fun" exercises I used to do while learning programming in early days. Just trying things out, getting fascinated and geeky, and being surprised by the results. I spent way too much time on this, but it was extreme fun. My favorite part: someone pointed me to the Simone Attractor on Threads. It is a 2D attractor and I asked GPT to extrapolate it to…

  • Hey all, I built this. It’s not trying to capture every autistic experience (that’d be impossible). It’s based on my own lived experience as well as that of friends on the spectrum. I'm trying to give people a feel for what masking, decision fatigue, and burnout can look like day-to-day. That’s hard to explain in words, but easier to show through choices and stats. I'm not trying to "define autism". I’ve gotten good feedback here about resilience, meds, and difficulty tuning. I’ll keep tweaking it. If even a few people walk away thinking, "ah, maybe that’s why my coworker struggles in those…
