NamasteJS

Don't read JavaScript watch it run, visually

Visit site ↗Alternativestop 11% of January 2026

What it does

NamasteJS visualizes JavaScript's invisible runtime. Watch closures form with memory addresses, see the event loop animate in real-time, and understand hoisting through step-by-step execution. Unlike docs that explain or playgrounds that show output—we show the journey. Control speed, pause mid-execution, and finally understand concepts that appear in every interview. Free, open-source, no signup. Stop reading about JavaScript. Start watching it run.

JS library to make your website instant2014 · ▲426

http://instantclick.io/ It seems the internet architecture won't bring us instant websites anytime soon. So here is a hack. I released this JS library last month (today is version 2.0 release, fixing v1.0's rough edges), it makes use of HTML5's pushState and preloading to make a website instant. It works like this: before clicking on a link, you'll hover over it. And there's a delay of 200-300 ms between these two events. InstantClick uses this delay to preload a page, when you click on a link it will display instantly in most case. (You can test on the website.) That's…

    LiveViewJS – TypeScript back end for LiveView Apps (Phoenix LiveView)2022 · github.com · ▲146

Author here. I really love the programming paradigm behind by Phoenix LiveView applications and wanted to expand the ecosystem to include programmers like myself that love Typescript. In summary, LiveViewJS reuses all the Phoenix client code and implemented a new backend in Typescript to handle client events and send back updates. Lots more detail and examples in the repo. Would love any questions and/or feedback. Thanks!

Videobug – The time travel debugger for JVM2022 · ▲63

Hi All, this is Shardul here - I am the co-founder of Videobug. https://bug.video We are super excited to share Videobug with you. Videobug records run time code execution so that developers can watch it line by line as frequently as they want, right in their IDE. It takes away the pain of recreating exact conditions that led to a bug and saves developer time in every bug squash. Parth (my co-founder) and I have worked on multiple production grade applications in startups and enterprises. We used Logrocket, Sentry, and Datadog for logging and found ourselves adding more logs after…

    An open source performance monitoring tool2024 · github.com · ▲135

Hey HN. We’re Jay and Vadim from Highlight.io (https://highlight.io). We’re building an open source [1] monitoring platform for web applications. Today we’re excited to be sharing a performance tool we’ve been working on, which helps you inspect the latency of code execution from the client to the server. As engineers at past startups, we often had to debug slow queries, poor load times, inconsistent errors, etc... While tools like Jaegar [2] helped us inspect server-side performance, we had no way to tie user events to the traces we were inspecting. In other words, although we had…

  • Hey we are Computable. We spent years building trading infrastructure at Jump Trading and Coinbase. From that point of view, compute looks like energy markets before 2000: everything trades through private bilateral leases, there’s no visible price, and nothing can be resold. The same H100 rents at a 2x spread depending on who’s asking, and once you sign a 24-month lease, it can never change hands. So we built a market for GPU nodes, sold by the calendar week. Here are three things you can do on it that you can’t do anywhere else: - Buy exactly the weeks you need. Three nodes for the last…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
