New Moderation Model for UGC and AI Generated Content
Hi Everyone, At Skymel, we're excited about developing a combination of on-device and cloud-based AI solutions that will reduce latency, lower costs, and enhance consumer engagement. As a first step, we've developed a model that can identify both safe and unsafe content, as well as artificial images. Given the rapid growth of AI-generated content, we anticipate that companies will face significant challenges in keeping their platforms safe for users, and we believe that our approach is well-positioned to tackle these problems head-on.

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it.
