Our goal with Next.js is to improve two things: Developer Experience and User Experience. We introduced over 20 new features that improve performance and developer experience. At the same time, the JavaScript size of the Next.js core has been reduced by 16% . In January, we introduced a new best-in-class JavaScript code-splitting strategy in collaboration with the Google Chrome team.
