NORV
The habit tracker that never forgives a missed day
NORV launched on August 19, 2026 with 2 votes, #5,788 of 23,274 launches that month.
What it does
Most habit apps forgive you, reset your streak and move on. NORV doesn't. You sign a contract with yourself, and every missed day leaves a permanent mark on a 100-day wall. No confetti. No "Great job". Just an honest record of who you actually are.

A free minimalist daily habit tracker2024 · rdht.vercel.app · ▲158Hello. I was looking for a simple and clean habit tracker. I went through a few apps but felt they were missing something. I also had some time on my hands, so decided to make my own and share it in case anyone else likes it. Some of the supported features: Streaks based, track and beat your longest streaks Fully useable offline Freezes (similar to Duolingo's streak freezes) Visual map for tracking consistency Pause the app when you need a break or will be away For anyone curious about the tech stack: - React for frontend - Dexie cloud for storage and syncing - Vercel for hosting Link:…
Sober not Sorry – free iOS tracker to help you quit bad habits2025 · sobernotsorry.app · ▲58I made Sober not Sorry, a clean and simple iOS tracker to help quit bad habits — alcohol, smoking, or anything else. Open it → log your start date → it tracks your streak. No ads, no sign-up, no subscriptions. I built it because most “sober” apps felt cluttered or too motivational. This one just quietly tracks progress and stays out of the way. Would love feedback — especially from people who use streak or sobriety trackers.

Clipto MCP▲655Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
