In the last 5-7 years, API-to-user communications have exploded across SMS, email, chat apps, mobile, and web push. As a consequence, notification service handling them has become quite complex. Developers spend time building integrations with multiple providers, create templates for each channel, managing scheduling and routing based on preferences, maintaining queues to deliver notifications on time while managing scale.
