Notoo
A local-first workspace + 31 file tools. Nothing uploaded.
What it does
Notoo is a private, in-browser workspace — rich docs, markdown, code, drawings and API requests in one file tree, saved on your device. Plus Notoo Tools: 31 PDF and image utilities that run in your tab. No account, no uploads, no page limits, no watermarks.
Local-first apps that keep your work in your own browser storage: an editor for notes, code, docs and sketches, a journal that threads your entries over time, 29 free PDF and image tools, a bookmark manager that keeps a readable copy of every page you save, and Tuckit, a timer and Pomodoro you pull out of the edge of any page. A cheatsheet builder and screen recorder are in beta. No account needed
An editor, a 29-tool PDF and image suite, a journal, a bookmark manager, a cheatsheet builder, a screen recorder and a timer you pull out of the edge of any page. Each one runs entirely in your browser, keeps working offline, and exports to a file you own. No account, no upload, no cost. Notes, code, docs and sketches in one file tree — the extension picks the surface. 29 PDF and image tools that never see your files. Each is its own bookmarkable page. A timer and Pomodoro you pull out of the edge of any page. A Chrome extension — free, no account. Write in short bursts that thread like a conversation, with a planner and a timer attached. Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
