Nudge Me! Lock Screen Reminder

Reminders that live on your lock screen

Nudge Me! Lock Screen Reminder launched on June 8, 2026 with 2 votes.

What it does

Every reminder app buries your to-dos behind a notification you swipe away and forget. Nudge Me flips it entirely, your tasks sit right on the lock screen, ticking down, until you mark it done. Glance at your phone and you already know what's next.

Privacy Policy for Nudge Me. Your reminders stay on your device; the limited data we collect is anonymous.

We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, aggregated analytics about how the app is used — for example, that a nudge was created or a screen was viewed. These signals contain only counts, types, and categories (such as a chosen reminder interval). They never include your task titles, notes, or deadlines, and they are not linked to your identity. TelemetryDeck is designed to be privacy-first and does not use advertising identifiers. See TelemetryDeck's privacy information: telemetrydeck.com/privacy . We use Apple's MetricKit to receive anonymous, aggregated crash and performance reports (such as launch time and hang rate) from devices. This helps us find and fix problems. I built this app primarily for my wife, who has tried many mainstream todo-list apps (OmniFocus, Things, and Todoist come to mind) over the years with little success. She isn't particularly interested in setting up a productivity system and the administrivia that goes with it. Even having to remember to look at an app once a day was far from ideal for her. This app is an attempt at a solution for anyone that fits this description, with a focus on alerting over organization. Here's how it works: you create a nudge that's set to trigger at a given date and time, and the app phones you, texts…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

  • Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
