Your GitHub profile as a live terminal dashboard

What it does
Octoscope is a native terminal dashboard that pulls your GitHub profile, activity, repo health, and network from the GraphQL API — and keeps everything auto-refreshed every 60 seconds. See PRs, issues, commits, languages, stars, followers, and org memberships at a glance. Works for your own account or any public profile: octoscope torvalds. Built in Go with BubbleTea. Open source, MIT-licensed. Install via Homebrew or go install.
A terminal dashboard for your GitHub account — profile, activity, repo health and network at a glance, auto-refreshed. Written in Go with BubbleTea.
A native TUI that pulls profile, activity, repo health and network from the GitHub GraphQL API and keeps them current in the background. Works for your own account, or any public profile. Homebrew, go install , a gh extension, or a container for CI — docker run … --json | jq . Every release also ships the bare executables beside the archives, for a curl where unpacking is the awkward part. When a fetch fails, octoscope asks GitHub's own status page and says which it is — at the moment you're deciding who to blame. Silent while GitHub is healthy, and silent if it can't check: a clean bill of health it hasn't verified is worse than none. Hey HN! I went to an ATProto meetup last week, and as a burnt-out semi-academic who hates academic publishing, I thought there might be a cool opportunity to build on Octopus (https://www.octopus.ac/), so I got a bit excited over the weekend and built Octosphere. Hopefully some of you find it interesting! Blog post here: https://andreasthinks.me/posts/octosphere/octosphere.html

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
