In plain words
Offline JavaScript PubSub between browser tabs is a JavaScript library that enables communication between multiple browser tabs without requiring an internet connection. It allows developers to set up publish-subscribe messaging patterns across tabs using only offline capabilities. The tool is designed for programmers building web applications that need cross-tab coordination. It stands out by functioning entirely offline, making it useful for scenarios where tabs need to share data or events without relying on server infrastructure.

TabSub offers you an easy to use Javascript PubSub via local storage. No server is required as all messages are shared via the browser built in local storage. Give the example a try to see what you can build with TabSub. Is this safe for a lot of concurrent writes? To be honest I have no clue. I tried to break it with 10 concurrent writers and everything worked as expected: No message got lost and the messages where in correct order. No warranty here, use at your own risk 😅 As TabSub uses local store this only works on the same domain, as the browser separates the local storage by domains as security measure. Start one of the two songs and than open this site in a second tab. You will see…from simon-frey.com

I built this pubsub module because I wanted a simple solution that uses only node. Why did I want pubsub? I wanted to build a complex app but segregate it into microservices that work together through event messages. I also wanted to use this method instead of node's built-in clustering for multiple instances. I've been running it for a few weeks now with several messages per second bugfree. I plan to use this setup for future apps as it reduces complexity of the code and allows me to restart/update one part of the app without interrupting the other parts. I would love to receive…

Hi everyone, I built PyXL — a hardware processor that executes a custom assembly generated from Python programs, without using a traditional interpreter or virtual machine. It compiles Python -> CPython Bytecode -> Instruction set designed for direct hardware execution. I’m sharing an early benchmark: a GPIO test where PyXL achieves a 480ns round-trip toggle — compared to 14-25 micro seconds on a MicroPython Pyboard - even though PyXL runs at a lower clock (100MHz vs. 168MHz). The design is stack-based, fully pipelined, and preserves Python's dynamic typing without static type restrictions.…
