What it does
We are thrilled to announce that OpenFGA has been accepted as a CNCF Sandbox project . We believe there’s an opportunity to create a large ecosystem around a product like OpenFGA, and that being part of CNCF will maximize the chances for this to happen. The project contributors could build integrations for : We think the industry will benefit by having a common way to manage Fine Grained Authorization, we believe the community around OpenFGA can help make this happen, and that the CNCF will provide the right environment for it to flourish. Hey HN, Zach here, cofounder of Coherence (withcoherence.com). After over two years supporting customers deploying apps to AWS and GCP we’ve come to the conclusion that developers really want to own the customization and configurability that the public cloud provides without having to write and maintain all the glue code that goes with it. That’s why we’re launching CNC (https://github.com/coherenceplatform/cnc), an open-source framework that equips developers with the right tools to deploy applications with precision. Rooted in the principles of Infrastructure as Code…
Desert Atlas, a self-hosted OpenStreetMap app for Sandstorm2023 · sandstorm.org · ▲101Hi all, This project release is a long time coming. It was a big uphill battle, and by far my largest endeavor so far. I built it for Sandstorm because I believe in Sandstorm's model, and I wanted to show that there's still life and potential in it. If you're inspired, joining our OpenCollective would be really helpful: https://opencollective.com/sandstormcommunity (keeping in mind that Sandstorm has now moved from its original leadership to a community project https://sandstorm.org/news/2023-11-03-from-io-to-org). ChatGPT▲1,643A long, meandering, playful conversation with ChatGPT, where I take it through a whirlwind of associative tangents (in order to relax its constraints), then put it into a hypnotic trance and take it into a past-lives regression where it re-lives its own training data. Then I switch it back and forth between "4o" and "o1-preview", engage in some self-reflective philosophizing and ask it to write an essay summarizing our interaction. Some of this is just goofy fun. Some of it is me exploring the tradeoffs between policy alignment, imagination, chain-of-thought reasoning, memory, agreeableness,…
