What it does

OpenFlow is a free, open-source voice dictation app for Windows 10/11. Hold ctrl+win, speak, release - your transcribed text gets pasted instantly into any window. Transcription runs fully locally on your CPU using Whisper, so your voice never leaves your machine. AI refinement via Groq cleans up grammar and punctuation for free. A lightweight alternative to WisprFlow with no subscription, no cloud, no cost.

Openflow is a Windows desktop dictation app that records while the user holds Ctrl + Win , transcribes speech offline with Whisper running through whisper.cpp , optionally refines the text with a hosted Groq model, and pastes the result back into the active window. Most users should download Openflow from the GitHub Releases page for this repository instead of running terminal commands.   I built a voice dictation app for macOS mostly because I was tired of how awful Siri is and I didn't want to pay a subscription for cloud tools. The app uses NVIDIA's Parakeet v3 (TDT) as the primary engine. Inference is handled by the FluidAudio library. It's insanely fast on M-series chips.
