Outlast

Steal the throne. Hold it. Win the pot.

Outlast launched on June 22, 2026 with 3 votes, #6,658 of 22,647 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was not reachable when checked in September 2026.

What it does

Most games pit you against algorithms or strangers with no stakes. Outlast combines both — real-time social pressure with a shared pot only one person wins. The difference from crash games: you’re not watching a number, you’re watching other players decide. Every time someone drops, the pressure on everyone still holding increases. The social layer is the mechanic. No download, no account. A full round takes under two minutes.

Hello all, About a month or so ago, you were all so nice as to put Lazy Tetris on your front page, and I've never felt so popular. More than 30,000 people have played the game all over the world. I'm truly happy if anyone is enjoying this fun project. Of course Monetization, but Haptics are also cool) - translations into a few languages -…

hey hn, here a game I always wanted to make. Every player defends one wall of a polygon, eight players, eight sides. When you lose your wall shatters and the arena closes the gap, so the shape keeps shrinking. Dying doesn't put you in a spectator seat. You come back as a saboteur, dropping bumpers, gravity wells and spinner bars on whoever's still alive. It's usually the part people like more than playing. It went around Reddit last week — about 30k plays so far, up to 80 simultaneous plays. Hopefully it survives HN! - This link starts a room for you and whoever you share it with:…

  • Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

  • Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
