Overclock API

Flat-rate, unlimited-token API for coding agents

Overclock API launched on September 3, 2026 with 2 votes, #2,319 of 8,094 launches that month.

What it does

Flat-rate inference for coding agents — Cline, Roo Code, Hermes, OpenClaw, Aider, and more. No token meter, one price a month, pay for parallel capacity instead of usage.

Run it hot. Pay flat. Flat-rate inference for Cline, Roo Code, Hermes, OpenClaw, Aider, and other coding agents — no token meter, pay for parallel capacity, not usage. If your bill grows because your agent kept working — retrying, calling tools, reading a big repo — token pricing was never going to feel fair. Overclock prices the thing you actually control: how many agents run at once. Agents that read files, run tests, and retry don't fit a per-token budget. One flat price covers however long a job takes. Running an investigator, implementer, and reviewer in parallel? That's runners, not a bigger invoice. Hey HN! We've run our privacy-focused open-source inference company for a while now, and we're launching a flat monthly subscription similar to Anthropic's. It should work with Cline, Roo, KiloCode, Aider, etc — any OpenAI-compatible API client should do. The rate limits at every tier are higher than the Claude rate limits, so even if you prefer using Claude it can be a helpful backup for when you're rate limited, for a pretty low price. Let me know if you have any feedback!

    Clink – Bring your own CLI Agents, Ship instantly2025 · clink.new · ▲22

Clink lets you use the coding agents you already pay for (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Z.ai GLM) to build → live-preview → ship apps in an isolated container. No token purchases, no extra cost for coding. Just link your existing Claude/OpenAI/Gemini account and start building and deploying instantly. Why we built this: Claude Code is our go-to for coding, but it lacked preview + deploy capabilities. We didn't want to pay Lovable again just for that. Different agents excel at different tasks - Claude Code for versatility, Codex for complex work, GLM for speed. We needed one…

At my last job I spent a year building an agentic coding platform used by hundreds of thousands of people. Along the way I tried building a hosting service on OpenClaw, and also ran Hermes myself for a while. Both projects have some great feature ideas, but when I tried to use them for real work they failed more often than not, and their security models worried me. I just couldn't see either one becoming something I'd trust enough for myself/friends/family. After a lot of exploration I realized that what I really wanted all along was to create automations using the coding agent I…

I nerfed our coding agents on purposeJun 2026 · ▲27

Tl;dr: I trained a classifier to route to the least expensive model and reasoning depth to complete the request. Coupling that with additional automated token efficiency techniques has yielded 3x usage for the same spend. For anyone interested in trying it themselves: https://nerfguard.com Various teammates and I switched over to Codex from Claude Code recently. We still bounce between the tools, but Codex’s speed and steerability coupled with performance gains were hard to ignore. One of the downsides was that the per token pricing kicked in way sooner. This is happening across…
