It might come down to taste, but I feel like a lot of the "features" Twitch has been adding have cluttered the interface while offering little of value for someone like me who just watches streams occasionally and isn't closely involved in community events. But most importantly, I'm bothered by the non-dismissable popups that now appear over the video feed. They seem to be for extensions, but what features they provide evades me. Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. It's been a long slow hog and I almost gave up a few times (more than a few) but when covid hit this year it gave me some time to really focus on my product. There were stupid user journey things that I knew needed fixed. There were some features I knew needed added. And I knew the pricing was wrong. I spent some hardcore time working on these things back in March / April and since then my MRR has continued to grow.
