What it does

Pause is a free, open-source web app built for people struggling with compulsive or addictive shopping. It combines an urge-delay timer, spending tracker, guided journaling, CBT-based mindfulness exercises, and a peer support space — all in one place, with no ads, no subscriptions, and no data selling. Most tools for shopping addiction are paywalled or don't exist. Pause fills that gap as a genuine public good, built by a solo developer.
