What it does

Artemis pCell Multi-Gigabit LTE/5G vRAN delivers >10x the aggregate data rate per MHz of cellular 5G vRAN/RAN, compatible with LTE and 5G devices.

Conventional wireless infrastructure carefully divides the coverage area into cells, avoiding interference. Rather than avoid interference, pCell exploits constructive interference to synthesize a personal cell (“pCell”) for each. Cells roughly divide up a mobile coverage area. Cellular data rates vary depending upon mobile device location , peaking at Cell center (bright yellow), and dropping to minimum at Cell edge (dark yellow) largely due to intercell interference. All mobile devices within a Cell share its spectrum , taking turns to avoid interfering with each other. As more devices share the Cell, they reduce the data rate for all devices. Shared Cell data rates are highly variable…from artemis.com
