PIC Pro
Logbook, checklists, maintenance and reports for Part 107
What it does
PIC Pro is a flight operations app for solo and small-team FAA Part 107 commercial drone operators. More than a logbook: log flights, run pre-flight and emergency checklists, keep a maintenance log per aircraft, manage batteries and fleet, track Part 107 recurrency, mark up job sites with annotated maps and photos, hold client records, and export client-ready PDF and CSV reports from your phone in the field. Offline-capable PWA, no app store, one flat plan with every feature. Not a photo editor.
PIC Pro helps Part 107 drone operators log flights, track maintenance, manage fleets, and keep recordkeeping workflows organized in the field.
Mobile-first recordkeeping for solo and small-team Part 107 operators: flights, maintenance, batteries, checklists, and client-ready reports connected from field to handoff. Watch a Part 107 job run end to end — log the flight, clear the pre-flight checklist, and export the client PDF — in under a minute . Most operators still log flights from memory. PIC Pro logs the whole thing on site, in under a minute. Map every job site on satellite. Mark your launch points, hazards, and no-fly zones, then brief the crew off one shared map. Run the same pre-flight checklist every time, so nothing gets skipped in the field. Keep your whole fleet in one place. Aircraft, batteries, and maintenance, all…from pic-pro.app

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
