What it does

Answer 23 questions and get all 22 SOC 2 governance policies rendered in your browser. No signup, nothing uploaded, Apache-2.0 templates and a CLI. Optional $39 Audit Kit tailors every policy to your stack: 22 Word docs, criteria crosswalk, evidence checklist.

Answer 23 questions and get all 22 SOC 2 governance policies as Markdown in your browser. No signup, nothing uploaded, Apache-2.0. Optional $39 Audit Kit.

No signup. Nothing uploaded: the policies render on your machine from Apache-2.0 templates you can fork. Also a CLI, so the same set builds in CI. Preparing for the audit itself? The $39 Audit Kit rewrites sections 4 and 5 for your stack with Claude and adds Word files, the criteria crosswalk, a pre-filled vendor inventory, risk register and access review, acknowledgment forms and a review calendar. See a sample . Company, product, headcount, cloud, source control, identity provider, MFA, MDM, data types, vendors, owners, scope and review cadence. Takes about a minute; answers stay in your browser. The templates are deterministic Markdown with conditional blocks. The same answers always…from policyseed.vercel.app

Hey HN, I’ve been helping small SaaS teams get through SOC 2 / ISO 27001. Every “policy builder” I tried (10+ of them) spat out generic stuff that auditors basically shrugged at (same as if you asked ChatGPT). So I ended up building my own tool. Nothing magical — just a lot of research, plus layering in the right context (implementation controls, company specifics, testing conditions, etc.). The outcome: three companies I worked with recently passed SOC 2 Type 2, and the auditors actually called out the policies as well-structured and clear. You can also try and generate any policies in…

Hi, Wanted to share something I've been working on for over a year. AuditBadger is a compliance management platform that uses AI to write policies (there are underlying "templates" with basic requirements), rewrite controls (or trust service criterions) to match the company context, help figure out your own controls, does initial risk assessment, and business continuity planning (which at least gives you an example of how the process should look like). Fun fact - I wanted to share this a year ago, but then I spotted something similar here. The most common comment was about lacking the SOC 2…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
