42 free privacy-first browser tools: no uploads, no accounts
What it does
Prescosoft is a growing collection of 42 free, privacy-first browser tools for files, images, developers, productivity, AI, finance, audio/video, and more. What makes it different is its local-first approach: many tools process data directly on your device instead of uploading it to a server. No accounts, subscriptions, installs, or usage limits. Practical tools that work instantly in your browser.
42 free, privacy-first browser tools: convert files, clean audio, manage money, generate QR codes, and more. Every tool runs 100% in your browser — nothing is ever uploaded.
Convert files, clean audio, manage money, generate QR codes, and more — every tool runs entirely in your browser. No accounts. No watermarks. No servers. The flagship. Convert images, audio, video, PDFs, and spreadsheets entirely in your browser — unlimited files, zero upload, zero accounts. The strongest privacy story in the suite. Fans, traffic, room hum — gone. RNNoise's neural network separates your voice from the noise right on your device. Hear the before/after in seconds. How much rent can you really afford? Four lending rules compared side by side — the 30% rule, 3x income, 50/30/20, and DTI — plus a reverse check for any listing. A data wrangler that never uploads your data.…from prescosoft.com

If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
