Prosaic

What it does

Prosaic is a minimalist writing environment for writers who want to focus on their craft, not their tools. Built for the terminal, Prosaic gives you everything you need and nothing you don't. Features: Markdown editor with live outline and word count. Focus mode strips away everything but your words. Daily writing metrics to track progress. Git-ready. Your files are plain markdown. No accounts, no costs, no cloud lock-in, no telemetry. Just you and your words. For macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Prosaic is for writers who want to write anywhere with a terminal and a keyboard. It's markdown-first, distraction-free, and built for the craft. No bloat. No bells. Justfrom prosaic.dimwit.me

Hello my name is Ben Ward for the past 3 years I have been remastering the financial game Wall Street Raider created by Michael Jenkins originally on DOS in 1986. It has been a rough journey but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just recently redid the website and thought maybe the full story of how this project came to be would interest you all. Thank you for reading.
